Dipped in light-eating matte-black, from the reversed headstock to the lower strap-button, the Ibanez Iron Label Series machine has definitely been engineered for metal, but that's not to say it hasn't got tricks up its sleeve. The RGRTB621 features an ultra-stable neck-through construction, where the five-piece maple and walnut neck runs straight through the centre of two set-in nyatoh wings. This doesn't just result in maximum resonant transfer but unobstructed access to the highest of the twenty-four frets.

When it comes to playability, your fret-hand is spoilt by the agile feel of a super-thin Nitro Wizard neck profile, an ebony fretboard with a flattened 15.75 inch radius, and the lower action and lighter playability of a full set of jumbo frets. Solid tuning and intonation is assured by a modern Mono-Rail bridge which doubles as a comfy spot for resting the pick-hand while it spits riffs and solos. Meanwhile, the fierce output of this Iron Label offering is taken care of by two DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers that combine to deliver a tight foundation across the higher and lower range frequencies, without getting treble-heavy in the mids. This meaty configuration is teamed up with Ibanez' insane Dyna-MIX10 system to amount to a fat stack of ten possible voicings.
